This just in.... news and new faces

Welcome Mark (Lower Left) to Style WyldeOur newest (and first international) contributor Mark, went to the Sonar Festival in Spain and gave us the full low-down in Music.  Lifestyle reviews Ciccolata di Vino in Berkeley,  Haikusue is solving your romantic issues, and Fashion is on the prowl for the most innovative and creative San Francisco Bay Area designers.  Know of a company we need to check out? Use our contact form on the right and let us know all about it.

Meanwhile in the rest of the world:

Denim focused Madewell, launched a new line called  Madewell '37s as of today . The line, which is comprised entirely of "skinny" jeans in various washes will be affordably priced ( between $50-$80). Mickey Drexler, CEO of Madewell Parent company JCREW told Women's Wear Daily that the intended customer for the new line is "She loves jeans. She loves fashion. She loves style and doesn’t want to dress like every girl is dressing and doesn’t want to spend a fortune on clothes. She is a cool, 20- or 30-something girl, but there is also a teenage following.”

Will the California Budget crisis cause a huge decline in the fashion industry talent pool?  Apparel News is reporting that just might happen as reduced funding is causing schools to make painful cuts to Fashion programs.

Levi Strauss staying put?  The Examiner is reporting that  Levi's CEO and SF Mayor Gavin Newsom will make a joint statement on the company's intent to keep it's headquarters in San Francisco, today at 2:30pm.

According to My Fashion Life,  Target Corp, may not be cool with Anna Sui's Gossip Girl inspired collection, as the company objects to the show's 'adult' story lines.
