Fashion feature:In-Process by Hall Ohara Spring 2013

Designers Steven Hall and Yurika Ohara's prestigious backgrounds and well honed skills were on display on Wednesday night as the married team unveiled their most dazzling collection to date for their label In-Process by Hall Ohara, as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo.

Titled "Inner City Distress" the first half of the  collection featured an array of models garbed in exquisitely draped  layers of graphic prints, head wraps and outer wear pieces that featured complicated belts and straps that hinted at hospital restraints. The effect was beautifully unsettling, one didn't know if the In-Process women were refugees from war, or the war victors marching back into battle to a pounding industrial beat.

As the show continued into its second section, the looks took flight with a series of parachute coats that literally sailed behind the models as they made their way down the darkened triangular runway. This time it was clear, the victors were  Hall and Ohara who had created a masterpiece of fashion theater.
