Backstage beauty: BROOD Fall 2012

Enigmatic, and artful the BROOD Fall 2012 collection cried out for a hair look to highlight the painterly, almost fauvist prints and ultra modern silhouettes.  To get it done, BROOD designer Serkan Sarier tapped the creative team at Bumble and bumble .

Here's how it was done:

Key Stylist Sabrina Michaels, was inspired by the looks to create a grungy, almost dirty textured style.   

She began by wetting hair with bumble and bumble  Thickening Hairspray and then blowdrying it straight back.

Next, working  in vertical sections, she backcombed and flatironed the hair, making sure to leave volume on the crown of the head.

Finally, she worked in Bumble and bumble Styling Wax and Bumble and bumble Hair Powder to give grip before pinning hair to the middle of the head keeping it close to the scalp to give it a look like it had been 'wind-swept' back.'
