Drugstore deal: TRESemmé Fresh Start

image: Style Wylde/S.Whittle

We admit it, we are super picky about hair care products, and have been known to spend $40+ on a single bottle of shampoo. So when we found the  sample of TRESemme Fresh Start Waterless Shampoo in our media swag bags at New York Fashion Week, we scoffed, and tossed it aside.

Fast forward to this past Friday, when in a fit of office reorganization the TRESemme sample was uncovered by a certain dirty-haired staffer who didn't know she was going to have a last minute meeting.  After several heated minutes of arguing the merits of anything that claims to replace a real shower, our brave staffer decided to give the foam a try.

As the label directed for  a few pumps of the weightless foam were applied and  worked through our testers chin-length hair.  After a quick fluff the oily roots were banished without leaving behind product clumps; something pricer versions we've tried in the past such as Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder never seemed to accomplish.

So while we still aren't ready to give-up our  high end daily suds, at right around $6 for a 6 fl. oz can the TRESemme product is one great to have in an emergency product we don't mind purchasing.

TRESemme Fresh Start is available at stores nationwide.

I gotta try that stuff! Have you tried TIGI's dry shampoo? My hairstylist recommended it, but the salon was out of it so I haven't got any yet...love that TRESemmé is available at the drug store...
